Biography
Javier Moreno Aguirre leads BMC’s immigration and foreign investment practice with eight years of experience in international mobility, work permits, and structures for bringing foreign capital into Spain. He joined in 2021 from a Madrid firm specialising in international mobility, where he built a client base ranging from multinationals with intra-corporate transfer needs to high-net-worth individuals seeking residence by investment.
At BMC he advises companies and individuals on work permits, investor visa alternatives following the abolition of the Golden Visa programme in 2025, and transfers under the EU ICT Directive. Having processed over two hundred immigration cases across more than thirty nationalities, he has an intimate understanding of the procedural nuances of each authorisation type, the realistic resolution timelines, and the criteria applied by Spain’s different Large Enterprises Units at Social Security. That practical depth is what distinguishes a specialist from someone who merely knows the rules.
His command of French allows him to coordinate directly with clients and institutions in French-speaking African jurisdictions, an increasingly common origin among the investors and skilled workers entering Spain. He works in close coordination with BMC’s tax team on cases involving the special impatriate regime (Beckham Law), where correct planning from the outset of the immigration process can produce very significant tax differences for the client.
