Settled doctrine Medium confidence 8 rulings · 2015–2026

Current position

To apply the deduction, the financier must present the financing contract and the certification of expenses. The deduction base is composed of the total production cost together with copy, advertising, and promotion expenses. If the final expenses are lower than those budgeted, the deduction amount will be adjusted to the maximum limit that the financier can apply, equivalent to 1.20 times their contribution.

The DGT's position on the status of producer in an AIE has remained constant, requiring initiative, responsibility, and ownership of rights. However, the sequence shows a shift in subject matter towards the IVPEE and, finally, introduces clarifications regarding the deduction base and the documentation required for the financier.

Turning points

  1. V0060-26

Introduces the composition of the deduction base (total cost, copies, advertising, and promotion) and the limit of 1.20 times the financier's contribution.
