Public sector staff in Baleares to receive residence allowance increase

The resolution of 8 July 2026 establishes that public sector staff based in Baleares will receive an increase in their residence allowance in accordance with the Council of Ministers Agreement of 7 July 2026, implemented via the sole additional provision of Royal Decree-Law 19/2026. The payment is carried out in accordance with paragraph 1 of Order PJC/683/2026 of 7 July. The 30-day period from publication of the resolution applies for implementation.

Public sector employees based in Baleares will receive an increase in their residence allowance from the date of implementation (art. 1). Public administrations must ensure payment within 30 days (art. 1). No changes are made to remuneration regimes for other sectors or staff not based in Baleares.
