How the DGT's position has evolved
Current position
Production cost varies depending on the sector. In the film industry, it includes advertising and promotion expenses up to 40% of the production cost, provided they are not subsidized. In the agricultural sector, the planting cost includes GPS marking expenses, purchase of plants, stakes, protectors, and hole digging. In renovation works, the cost of materials provided includes their own production cost.
The DGT does not maintain a single position on the concept of production cost, but rather applies it specifically according to the activity. No doctrinal evolution is observed, but rather an application of differentiated criteria for the audiovisual sector, the construction sector, and the agricultural sector.
