Security firms: 3 months to adopt revised pay tables or face up to 15,000 EUR fines

The April 2026 Resolution publishes the Supreme Court's ruling nullifying Alcor Seguridad's 2021 pay tables, declaring them invalid under Article 166.3 of Law 36/2011. Security companies must update salaries to the new tables or face fines of up to 15,000 EUR.

In 2 key points

  1. Security firms must apply the 2021 salary tables as ruled by the Supreme Court (art. 2)
  2. The implementation period is three months from the date of entry into force (art. 2)

How it affects those involved

Companies face compliance risk if they do not update salary tables within the 3-month period. They must review contracts and wage payments to avoid dismissals or claims for underpayment (arts 166.3 and 2).
