Royal Decree 297/2026 commutes the sentence of Manuel Olmo Callejas, convicted of robbery with force, to a six-month fine with a daily rate of two euros. This measure is subject to the condition that he does not commit any intentional offence for one year from the publication of the decree (Art. 1). The commutation is granted on grounds of justice and equity, following evaluation by the court and the Public Prosecutor's Office.
This does not affect companies, workers, or economic sectors. It only affects the convicted individual, Manuel Olmo Callejas, who is subject to the condition of not committing intentional offences for one year. Criminal advisors or defence counsel face no practical consequences, as this is not a general rule applicable to other cases.
