León Administrative Courts: new case allocation rules

New allocation rules have been approved for the Administrative Litigation Section of the Courts of First Instance in León (Art. 1). The system establishes the distribution of initiating documents by specific classes until available slots are filled (Art. 1.1). Furthermore, it regulates the procedure for managing urgent matters, the resolution of allocation conflicts, and the parties' right to appeal (Art. 1.3 and 2.2).

In 3 key points

  1. A 3-day deadline to claim errors in allocation or to file appeals regarding the same (Art. 2.2) (art. 2.2)
  2. Urgent matters will be allocated on the same day and delivered to the Court on the same day or the following business day (Art. 1.3) (art. 1.3)
  3. Allocation rules are public and the results can be accessed through a verification request (Art. 3) (art. 3)

How it affects those involved

For litigants in the province of León, these rules ensure the transparency of allocation criteria and allow for requests to verify registry entries before the Presiding Judge (Art. 3). In the event of an error in case assignment, affected parties have a three-day period to file a claim (Art. 2.2). Matters declared urgent by law or by the Presiding Judge will be allocated immediately (Art. 1.3).
