Foreign nationals without residency given 3 months to access public healthcare

Royal Decree 180/2026 removes previous rules on healthcare access for foreigners without residency and establishes a three-month period for access to public health services, in line with Article 9 of Royal Decree 1506/2012 and the final provision of Royal Decree-Law 7/2018. This ensures foreign nationals in Spain without legal residency can access healthcare.
