Autonomous Communities: extension of deadlines for the execution and justification of educational digital competence funds until May and June 2026

The Resolution amends the Agreement of 21 July 2021 to extend the execution and justification deadlines for the €11,947,200.00 allocated to the Programme for the improvement of educational digital competence (MRR). The new execution deadline is extended to 31 May 2026, and the justification of expenses must be submitted before 30 June 2026. This measure allows Autonomous Communities with remaining balances to continue the execution of funds and increase the number of beneficiaries.

In 3 key points

  1. The execution deadline for the Territorial Cooperation Programme is extended until 31 May 2026, section 8 (apartado 8)
  2. The justification of funds must be submitted before 30 June 2026, section 14 (apartado 14)
  3. Total amount of credits managed by the Autonomous Communities: 11,947,200.00 euros (Anexo)

How it affects those involved

For the Autonomous Communities, the regulation provides an operational extension to exhaust the credits transferred from the Recovery and Resilience Facility (MRR) intended for digital transformation in education. This prevents the loss of funds due to expiry and facilitates the expansion of beneficiaries within the framework of the National Digital Capabilities Plan. The Ministry of Education will maintain monitoring and control to ensure the specific allocation of the credits.
