Mollerussa and El Palau d'Anglesola Town Councils: new rules for financial contributions to the Mancomunidad

An amendment to Article 12 of the Statutes of the Mollerussa-El Palau d'Anglesola Intermunicipal Mancomunidad has been approved. The change stipulates that municipal financial contributions for general services, administration, repairs, or investments shall be made annually in proportion to the number of inhabitants, based on INE data (Art. 12). Furthermore, outstanding amounts may be subject to retroactive effects of up to four years (Art. 12).

In 2 key points

  1. Contributions shall be made annually in proportion to the number of inhabitants in each municipality according to INE data (Art. 12). (art. 12)
  2. Outstanding contribution amounts may be subject to a maximum of four years of retroactive effect (Art. 12). (art. 12)

How it affects those involved

For the Town Councils comprising the Mancomunidad, budgetary contributions are now directly linked to the annual population according to the INE (Art. 12). This introduces an annual update variable into the budgets. In the event of previous debts, the Mancomunidad may apply retroactive effects to outstanding amounts for a maximum of four years (Art. 12).
