The Social Institute of the Navy (ISM) has approved the private centre 'Centro de Formación Náutica Mistral' to provide initial specific medical training in both stationary and itinerant modes, as well as its subsequent updates (Resolution of 19 January 2026). This training is mandatory for captains, masters, and personnel in charge of onboard medical kits, and must be updated at least every five years (Art. 14 RD 258/1999). The centre must issue certification to students and submit the record to the Institute's Provincial Directorate in Cádiz within a maximum of seven days after the course ends (Fifth).

  2. Medical training must be mandatorily updated at least every five years, art. 14 RD 258/1999 (art. 14 RD 258/1999)
