Navy enlisted personnel: new vocational training modules required for long-term commitment

The Resolution establishes the intermediate-level vocational training modules that Navy enlisted personnel must complete to enter into a long-term commitment. This update responds to changes in core specialities, such as the creation of the Administration speciality, and the implementation of the FORMA Programme. These requirements apply to personnel joined from the second cycle of the 2022 call onwards (final provision).

In 3 key points

  1. Applicable to personnel joined to the enlisted scales from the second cycle of the 2022 call, inclusive (final provision). (disposición final)
  2. The Administration complementary speciality will be phased out following the completion of the final corporal promotion course scheduled for five annual calls (transitory provision 3). (disp. transitoria tercera)
  3. Vocational training modules associated with specialities such as Supply (APM) and Energy and Propulsion (EPM) are being updated (First). (Primero)

How it affects those involved

For Navy enlisted personnel, passing these specific vocational training modules becomes an essential requirement to access long-term commitment. Personnel in the 'Operations and Systems' speciality who already hold the 'Administration' complementary speciality will maintain their current status; however, the Administration complementary speciality will be phased out after five annual calls for the corporal promotion course (transitory provisions 2 and 3).
