Georeferencing applicants: 30-day deadline to submit allegations in Mortgage Law proceedings

The Resolution of 25 March 2026 establishes that, in the event of a suspension of registration due to allegations within proceedings under Article 199 of the Mortgage Law, the applicant has the right to submit allegations within 30 calendar days from the notification of the negative rating note (Art. 2). This mechanism allows for the correction of errors in property georeferencing through a formal legal procedure and protects the rights of owners to claim the correction of cadastral data.

In 2 key points

  1. Applicants have 30 days to submit allegations following georeferencing suspension (art. 2)
  2. The proceedings are based on Article 199 of the Mortgage Law (art. 2)

How it affects those involved

Property owners, such as companies or individuals, may submit allegations within 30 days if georeferencing is suspended due to allegations in proceedings under Article 199 of the Mortgage Law. Registry administrations must notify the suspension and provide access to the case file. Advisors must verify the submission deadline to prevent the loss of rights. Companies with properties in rural areas or with low administrative coverage could benefit from this access mechanism.
