Public servants in public administrations: 3 months to opt for early partial retirement

The Real Decree-Law 19/2026 establishes urgent measures allowing partial early retirement for public administration staff, in accordance with art. 215.2 of the consolidated text approved by Royal Decree-Law 8/2015. This mechanism applies to public workers meeting specific age and service requirements, with a 3-month period from entry into force (art. 3). A complement of insularity is also provided for the Balearic Islands in accordance with art. 12 of Royal Decree-Law 2/2015.
