Local authorities and Federation: 6 months to apply for subsidies to locate war victims' remains

Royal Decree 453/2026 sets up direct funding for local authorities and the Federation of Spanish Municipalities and Provinces for searches, identification, exhumation and location of remains from the Spanish Civil War and dictatorship. Applications must be submitted within six months of entry into force, as stipulated in Article 3. This measure aims to provide resources for historically and socially significant actions.
