A 2% imputed income rate must apply if the cadastral review occurred more than ten years ago

A non-resident homeowner asks which imputed income percentage should be applied following a cadastral review in 2003. The DGT rules that a 2% rate must be applied because the review did not come into effect during the tax period or within the preceding ten years.

The DGT's ruling

El porcentaje de renta imputada será del 1,1 por ciento solo si los valores catastrales fueron revisados o determinados mediante valoración colectiva y entraron en vigor en el periodo impositivo o en los diez periodos anteriores. Al haberse producido la revisión en 2003, no se cumple este plazo y debe aplicarse el 2 por ciento sobre el valor catastral.
