V1511-26 12 June 2026 · SG de Impuestos sobre la Renta de las Personas Físicas Analysis pending
IRPF · exención por trabajos en el extranjero

Exemption for work performed abroad does not apply if the service beneficiary is the Spanish company

A worker resident in Spain inquired whether overseas trips undertaken to sign agreements for their Spanish company qualify for the exemption under Article 7.p) of the Personal Income Tax Act (LIRPF). The Directorate General for Taxes (DGT) ruled that, as the individual is representing the Spanish company to reach agreements with third parties, the work is not being performed for a non-resident entity, thus failing to meet the primary requirement.

Analysis pending. This ruling has been identified and indexed by the automatic ingestion system. BMC's team will complete the plain-language analysis within 24 hours. You may access the official source in the meantime.
