A joint resolution from the Undersecretariats of Transport and Finance authorises the issuance and circulation of three postage stamp series: 'Sports' (centenary football teams), 'Charming Villages' and 'Literature' (Ana María Matute) (First). Sales of these series will commence on 19, 28 and 29 May 2026, respectively (Third.1). Distribution of the stamps will cease on 31 December 2031, though they will retain their postal value indefinitely (Third.2).
For collectors and Correos users, new philatelic issues are being made available with specific technical features, such as phosphorescent self-adhesive substrates (Second). The state-owned company Correos y Telégrafos will manage distribution until the end of 2031, after which it may request the cancellation of surplus stock (Third.2). The stamps will retain their postal value even after their distribution period has ended (Third.2).
