The Resolution amends the one of 2 March 2026 to set the anchovy fishery catch limits in ICES area 8 for 2026. An adapted quota of 30,485 tonnes is established for Spain (first paragraph). From this amount, 50 tonnes are allocated for by-catches from seine, trap, and longline vessels (Art. 2.1 of Order APA/377/2026).
Purse sein vessels in the Cantabrian and NW fishing grounds must comply with the catch and landing limits set out in Annexes I and II of the resolution. 90% of the remaining quota (27,391.56 tonnes) is distributed among vessel groups according to specific criteria (first paragraph). The remaining 10% (3,043.50 tonnes) is available for purse sein vessels in the census not included in the previous groups (first paragraph).
