NGOs given three months to submit violence against women prevention programs

The IGD/393/2026 order amends IGD/239/2022 to set a three-month deadline for NGOs to submit prevention, awareness and investigation programs for violence against women. This applies to competitive subsidy applications as specified in articles 3.1, 4, 5.1, 7, 8.1 and 9.2 of the original order. The change aims to improve transparency and evaluation timelines.

In 3 key points

  1. NGOs must submit prevention programmes within three months (art. 3.1)
  2. Programmes must address awareness, prevention and investigation of violence against women (art. 4)
  3. Submission is governed by the Organic Law 10/2022 (art. 3)

How it affects those involved

NGOs must submit prevention programmes within three months of publication in the BOE; delays may result in loss of subsidy eligibility. Public administrations retain their evaluation processes but must ensure transparency in project selection.
