This measure aims to achieve historical clarification and to dignify the women affected by this body (Art. 11.1 Law 20/2022). The procedure includes a preventive entry in the Inventory of Places of Democratic Memory (Art. 50.3 Law 20/2022).

How it affects those involved

The resolution does not create obligations for the private sector or companies, but rather activates an institutional administrative procedure. The impact falls upon the Administration, which commits to investigating the Board's operations and integrating this site into international memory circuits. It establishes the requirement to conduct a public consultation and to request reports from entities such as the Institute for Women and Carlos III University (Art. 79.1 Law 39/2015).
