Tourism companies: updated fund allocation for energy efficiency projects under the Recovery Plan

The Secretariat of State for Tourism has published the consolidated text of the Tourism Sectoral Conference Agreement, as amended by the Agreement of 10 February 2026. This update incorporates changes resulting from the new Addendum to the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR) approved by ECOFIN on 20 January 2026. The objective is to establish a common framework for autonomous communities to manage aid intended for energy efficiency and circular economy in tourist accommodation (Base 1).

In 2 key points

  1. The programme seeks to reduce final energy consumption and CO2 emissions through renovations in tourist accommodation buildings (Base 1.3). (Base 1.3)
  2. Transfers to the Autonomous Communities will be carried out following the authorisation of the territorial distribution by the Council of Ministers (Base 5.6). (Base 5.6)

How it affects those involved

For tourism companies, the regulation maintains the aid structure for the renovation of buildings used for tourist accommodation to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions (Base 1.3). Autonomous communities and autonomous cities must process their respective grant calls once financial transfers from the Secretariat of State for Tourism are formalised (Base 5.6).
