Social Services: 3 months to adopt new minimum vital income certification models

The March 2, 2026 Resolution approves standardized models for Social Services to certify minimum vital income compliance, replacing previous resolutions (October 5, 2022 and January 26, 2022). The models come into force on March 18, 2026, and must be applied in accordance with Article 6 of Law 19/2021.

In 3 key points

  1. The Social Services must use the new standardised models to certify the minimum income (art. 1)
  2. The models repeal the resolutions of 5 October 2022 and 26 January 2022 (art. 2)
  3. The new models come into force on 18 March 2026 (art. 3)

How it affects those involved

The Social Services of the National Institute of Social Security must update their income minimum certification processes to comply with the new standardised models. Regional and central administrations must adapt their validation procedures. Beneficiaries of the minimum income do not experience direct changes, but the certification process becomes more standardised and transparent. Social advisors must become familiar with the new forms to properly assist applicants.
