The prize aims to recognise literary creativity and originality over mere academic erudition (First). The monetary award amounts to 30,000 euros (Second).
For Spanish authors, the call allows them to compete for a 30,000 euro award for essay works published in 2025 (First, Second). Works created by generative artificial intelligence are expressly excluded (First). Publishers of the winning work are entitled to use the award for promotional purposes (Sixth).
