Port Pilot Candidates: Call for General Knowledge Examinations for Professional Qualification Recognition

The Directorate General of the Merchant Marine has announced the first stage of examinations (general knowledge, English, and legislation) for the recognition of professional qualification for port piloting (First). Candidates must prove they have held command of vessels exceeding 1,000 GT for at least two years within the last ten years (Second.1). The exams will take place in Madrid during March 2026 (Fifth).
