Merchant Navy qualification candidates: call for 2026 professional competency examinations

The Directorate General of the Merchant Navy has issued a call for professional competency examinations to obtain qualifications for Coastal Skipper, Coastal Skipper, Senior Naval Engineer, and Naval Engineer for the year 2026. To qualify, candidates must have completed the practical training stipulated in Royal Decree 269/2022 and have been admitted in accordance with Article 55 of said regulation (Art. 1). The call establishes different requirements depending on whether sea service commenced before or after 13 May 2022 (Annexes III and IV).
