Royal Decree 725/2026 authorizes the direct and exceptional granting of subsidies for the promotion and defense of industrial property during the 2026 fiscal year (art. 3). This measure is based on public, social, and economic interest reasons that justify the absence of a public call (art. 22.2.c Law 38/2003). The amounts are specifically allocated to the National Association for Brand Defense (150,000 EUR) and the Spanish Renowned Brands Forum Foundation (125,000 EUR) (art. 4).
For the beneficiary entities (ANDEMA and Fundación Foro de Marcas), the regulation guarantees the receipt of funds for training, research, and dissemination activities related to industrial property (Art. 3). These entities must comply with a strict deadline of 15 working days to submit the required documentation following the entry into force of the regulation (Art. 5.2). The process shall be carried out exclusively by electronic means through the OEPM website (Art. 5.1).
