Spanish Central Government and Balearic Islands: negotiations begin to resolve disputes over Decree-Law 1/2026

The Bilateral Cooperation Commission between the State and the Balearic Islands has agreed to begin negotiations to resolve discrepancies arising from the first final provision of Decree-Law 1/2026, of 1 April (Annex, point 1). To this end, a working group has been appointed to propose a technical solution to the Commission (Annex, point 2). The agreement has been communicated to the Constitutional Court in accordance with Organic Law 2/1979 (Annex, point 3).
