Health Sciences Specialists: correction of indemnity category and composition of the Evaluation Committee

This resolution amends the call for theoretical-practical examinations for the recognition of foreign Health Sciences specialist titles (obtained outside the EU). The main change consists of upgrading the indemnity category for members of the Tribunal and designated staff from 'second category' to 'first category', in accordance with Royal Decree 462/2002 (tenth resolution). Additionally, the composition of the Evaluation Committee is updated, detailing its permanent and substitute members (Annex I).

In 2 key points

  1. Service indemnities for members of the Tribunal are upgraded to first category (Art. 30 of RD 462/2002) (resuelve décimo)
  2. The composition of the Evaluation Committee is updated, including the chair, secretary, and members (Annex I) (Anexo I)

How it affects those involved

For health professionals with non-EU foreign titles, the regulation does not alter the examination process but corrects administrative aspects of the previous call. The correction of the indemnity category (from second to first category) affects the Ministry of Health's budget management and the expense regime for the personnel in charge of the examinations (tenth resolution).
