The distribution rules for cases within the Contentious-Administrative Section for the Courts of Lugo, Pontevedra, Santiago de Compostela and Vigo have been published (art. 1). The distribution of procedural initiation documents will be carried out randomly via a computer programme (art. 1.1). Matters declared urgent by law or by the Dean will be distributed and delivered on the same day (art. 1.3).

In 3 key points

  1. The distribution of initiation documents is carried out randomly via a computer programme (art. 1.1). (art. 1.1)
  2. Urgent matters (interim measures, fundamental rights, etc.) are distributed and delivered on the same day (art. 1.3). (art. 1.3)
  3. Interested parties may request verification of the distribution entry from the Dean Court (art. 2). (art. 2)

How it affects those involved

For litigants in the contentious-administrative jurisdiction of these localities, the distribution of their files is governed by a computerised random assignment system to ensure impartiality (art. 1.1). In cases of legal urgency, such as interim measures or the protection of fundamental rights, the distribution process is expedited for immediate delivery to the court on the same day the application is made (art. 1.3). Interested parties have the right to request verification of the distribution entry before the Dean Court (art. 2).
