Order AUC/309/2026 establishes the closure of Spanish honorary consular offices located in Barranquilla, Buenaventura, Cúcuta, San Andrés, and Santa Marta, in the Republic of Colombia. It also modifies the consular jurisdiction of the honorary offices in Cartagena de Indias, Cali, and Bucaramanga, in accordance with Law 2/2014 and Royal Decree 1390/2007.
For individuals and Spanish citizens residing in the areas of the closed offices (Barranquilla, Buenaventura, Cúcuta, San Andrés, and Santa Marta), consular procedures must be transferred to the consular offices assuming their jurisdiction. Residents in the areas of Cartagena de Indias, Cali, and Bucaramanga will see a change in their territorial consular jurisdiction.
