Carrefour Group companies: three months to implement changes to working hours and conditions

The Collective Agreement amendment to the Carrefour Group's Convention introduces a new article (44 bis) and modifies article 46, along with additional provisions 1 and transitional clause 2, published on 5 June 2023. These changes affect working hours and conditions in group retail outlets. Companies must adjust their labour practices within three months of the resolution's publication, in accordance with articles 90.2 and 90.3 of Royal Decree-Law 2/2015 and Royal Decree 713/2010.

In 2 key points

  1. The article 44 bis is added and article 46 of the agreement is amended (art. 44 bis, disposición adicional 4 bis, modifica art. 46 y disposiciones adicionales 1 y transitoria 2)
  2. A three-month period is allowed to implement the changes from the date of publication (art. 90.2 y 3 del RDL 2/2015)

How it affects those involved

For Carrefour Group companies, working hours and conditions must be updated in line with the new articles. Employees may see changes to their working hours and employment conditions. HR advisors and human resources teams should review the new terms to ensure compliance with the updated agreement. Local authorities must verify the implementation of the new text in the group's retail outlets.
