Businesses and individuals: 30 days to update official euro exchange rates

The Bank of Spain's resolution publishes new euro exchange rates against the dollar and other currencies from 31 March 2026, effective under Article 36 of Law 46/1998. These rates replace previous ones and must be used in official financial transactions. The update is published in the BOE and has legal effect for all economic sectors.

In 2 key points

  1. 1 euro = 1.1498 US dollars (official rate from 31/03/2026) (CAMBIOS 1 euro = 1,1498 dólares USA)
  2. Exchange rates are considered official pursuant to Article 36 of Law 46/1998 (de acuerdo con lo dispuesto en el artículo 36 de la Ley 46/1998)

How it affects those involved
