UNED: Declaration of non-working days for the calculation of administrative deadlines in 2026

UNED has resolved to declare three specific periods in 2026 as non-working days for the calculation of deadlines in administrative proceedings for which the University is the resolving body (Art. 1). This measure follows the suspension of work activities for resource optimisation and aims to facilitate compliance with deadlines for applications, procedures, and notifications (Art. 1).

In 2 key points

  1. Non-working days: 30 March to 6 April 2026, 3 to 14 August 2026, and 24 December 2026 to 5 January 2027 (Art. 1). (art. Primero)
  2. The measure affects the calculation of deadlines for the submission of applications, completion of procedures, resolution, and notification (Art. 1). (art. Primero)

How it affects those involved

For individuals and professionals with open administrative proceedings or those required to submit applications to UNED, deadlines will not be calculated during the declared closure periods (Art. 1). This means that the days within these dates will not count towards the expiry of legal terms, effectively extending the time available to complete procedures or receive notifications.
