Bank of Spain: publication of February 2026 mortgage market reference interest rates

The Bank of Spain has published the official reference interest rates for February 2026. Determined in accordance with the process set out in Annex 8 of Circular 5/2012, these indicators include the average rate for mortgage loans exceeding three years for the purchase of new housing in Spain (2.819%) and the average rate for housing loans between one and five years in the eurozone (3.370%) (Resolution of 18 March 2026).
