The Directorate General for Energy Planning and Coordination has authorised the amendment of the type approval (NHM-X172) for Smiths Detection GmbH X-ray generator equipment, specifically incorporating the SDX 100100 HC and SDX 100100 LC models (1st). This resolution is based on Royal Decree 1217/2024 and Royal Decree 1029/2022 regarding radiological safety and health protection (1st).
For TECOSA and other baggage inspection equipment operators, this resolution allows the integration of these new models into their fleet under the NHM-X172 approval (1st). Users of this equipment must ensure the indelible marking of the brand, model, and operating conditions, as well as the label containing the approval number and the word "EXEMPT" (3rd). Furthermore, a regime of technical inspections and radiological safety verifications is imposed in accordance with current Regulations (5th).
