The Directorate General for Industry of the Generalitat de Catalunya has authorised the renewal of the permit for the use and installation of Itron brand electricity meters, model 6000, version ACE662, in the electrical grid for Itron Spain, SL (First). This resolution extends the validity of a model previously authorised in 2016 and expanded in 2021 (Facts 1 and 2).
For Itron Spain, SL, the resolution allows for the continued commercialisation and use of this specific meter model within the Catalan electrical grid (First). The authorisation is valid for a maximum of five years, subject to the potential application of new measuring systems regulations (Second.1). Equipment must mandatory pass an initial verification check by an officially authorised verifier prior to installation (Second.2).
