Pegasus Aviación: minimum helicopter services established for strike starting 1 February 2026

Order TED/47/2026 establishes the minimum services that Pegasus Aviación, SA must guarantee due to the indefinite strike called by the Sindicato Libre de Trabajadores Aéreos (SLTA) (sections 1 and 2). The measure ensures the continued operation of firefighting helicopters contracted by MITECO at various bases in Toledo, Cuenca, Murcia, Tenerife, and Guadalajara (section 3). The order regulates the reduction in service hours compared to the original technical specifications during the strike period (section 1.2).

In 3 key points

  1. Reduction in working hours: 6 hours per day in February and 8 hours per day in March, April, and May (section 1.2). (apartado 1.2)
  2. Entry into force on the same day of its publication in the BOE (section 4). (apartado 4)
  3. Minimum services for helicopters at bases in Toledo, Cuenca, Murcia, Tenerife, and Guadalajara (section 3). (apartado 3)

How it affects those involved

For Pegasus Aviación, the regulation imposes the obligation to maintain crews and aerial assets with reduced schedules (between 6 and 8 hours daily depending on the base and month) to guarantee firefighting capabilities (section 1.2). For MITECO and the Autonomous Communities, it ensures the continuity of forest fire support services despite the strike (section 3). Striking workers face limitations on their right to protest due to the mandatory requirement to fulfill these minimum services (section 1.2.1).
