The Directorate-General for Energy Planning and Coordination has authorised the modification of the type approval (NHM-X287) for Sesotec brand X-ray generator equipment (Art. 1). This resolution includes new models from the Raycon D+ series, such as the TX 1400/360/330/200 and TX 1900/360/330/200, intended for product inspection (Art. 1). The measure is issued in accordance with Royal Decree 1217/2024 and Royal Decree 1029/2022 following a favourable report from the Nuclear Safety Council.
For the manufacturer and its clients, the resolution allows the inclusion of new inspection equipment models in the catalogue of approved types (Art. 1). However, the resolution does not grant authorisation for manufacturing, marketing, or technical assistance in radiological safety, which requires additional licences under the same regulation (Art. 7). Users of this equipment must comply with annual inspections and specific safety verifications (Art. 1, point III).
