High-consumption customers: 46% energy use in valley tariff period required over two of last three years

The 16 January 2026 Resolution revises the valley tariff period consumption requirement for high-consumption customer classification, setting that at least 46% of energy must be consumed during such a period in at least two of the three preceding years (Art. 3.2.b of Royal Decree 1106/2020). This requirement applies as a condition for access to the category, following a temporary suspension during the cost adjustment mechanism established in Royal Decree-Law 10/2022 (transitional provision four).
