The State Railway Safety Agency has announced examinations for obtaining and renewing safety adviser certificates for the transport of dangerous goods by rail. The call includes general categories and specialisations (Classes 1, 2, 7, among others) to comply with the RID Regulation (Art. First). The certificate is valid for five years, and renewal requires passing a proficiency test during its final year of validity (Art. First).

In 3 key points

  1. The safety adviser certificate is valid for five years (Art. First). (art. Primera)
  2. Renewal requires passing a proficiency test during the final year prior to expiry (Art. First). (art. Primera)
  3. Specialisations are being called for Class 1, Class 2, Class 7, and various classes of solid and liquid substances (Art. First). (art. Primera)

How it affects those involved

Companies involved in the dispatch, transport, packaging, or loading of dangerous goods by rail must ensure their safety advisers hold valid certification to avoid non-compliance with the RID Regulation (Art.
