Ministry for the Ecological Transition: authorisation for the disposal of specific documentary series

The Under-secretariat of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge has authorised the disposal of various common documentary series following a favourable report from the Superior Commission for the Classification of Administrative Documents (Art. 1). Affected series include public employee payrolls, training programmes (Escuelas Taller, TándEM), and files concerning relations with the Administration of Justice (Art. 1). Destruction will be carried out periodically in accordance with the timelines and sampling methods established in the technical proposal (Art. 2 and 3).

In 3 key points

  1. The disposal of payroll and remuneration records for public employees ([1934] – [...]) is authorised (art. Primero)
  2. The disposal of files concerning relations with the Administration of Justice (1845-[..]) is approved (art. Primero)
  3. Destruction will be executed periodically once the retention period for each series has been met (art. Tercero)

How it affects those involved

The resolution has no direct impact on citizens or private companies, as it is an internal archive management measure of the General State Administration. The effect is purely administrative, allowing for the streamlining of the Ministry's and its Public Bodies' archives by disposing of documents that have completed their mandatory retention periods (Art. 3).
