Technical companies and sectors: list of UNE standards annulled during July 2026

The Directorate-General for Industrial Strategy and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises has published the list of Spanish UNE standards that were annulled during July 2026 (Annex). This resolution is issued in compliance with the Regulation on Quality Infrastructure and Industrial Safety (Art. 11.f). The annulment of these standards means they are no longer valid technical references for the specified standardisation processes.

In 2 key points

  1. Annulment of technical standards in the explosives, tobacco, toy safety, and machinery sectors (Annex). (Anexo)
  2. Publication carried out in accordance with the Regulation on Quality Infrastructure and Industrial Safety (Art. 11.f). (art. 11.f)

How it affects those involved

For companies operating in sectors regulated by these standards (explosives, tobacco, toy safety, machinery, or petroleum products), the annulment means that the testing methods or technical requirements previously referenced are no longer in force (Annex). Quality and compliance professionals must verify whether their current processes depend on any of the listed standards to avoid using obsolete benchmarks.
