Approval of the Juan de la Cosa as a training vessel for Merchant Navy professional qualification practicals

The Directorate General of the Merchant Navy has approved the vessel Juan de la Cosa (Social Institute of the Navy) as a training vessel to validate the sea service periods required to obtain professional qualifications (First). This approval is valid indefinitely from its publication in the BOE (Second). The vessel will function as an extension of the classrooms of the teaching centres affiliated with the Social Institute of the Navy (Eighth).
