The Catalan Wine Institute has issued a favourable ruling regarding the standard amendment to the specifications of the Costers del Segre Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) (resolution 1. Adopt the favourable decision...). Following the opposition period, which concluded without any objections, the file will be forwarded to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food for subsequent submission to the European Commission (art. 4).
For producers and winegrowers within the Costers del Segre PDO, this resolution entails the entry into force of the new technical and production conditions set out in the amended specifications (art. 3). The new specifications are available for consultation on the Catalan Wine Institute website. Interested parties have one month to lodge an administrative appeal (recurso de alzada) if they deem it necessary (art. 76 Law 26/2010).
