Government and Autonomous Communities: 2 to 6 month deadlines to implement energy efficiency measures in public buildings

The Joint Commission for Relations with the Court of Auditors urges the Government and the Region of Murcia to adopt urgent energy-saving measures in public buildings following an audit report. The report demands energy-saving plans with defined deadlines, the appointment of energy managers for buildings exceeding 500 m2, and the updating of building inventories in La Rioja and Murcia (Art. 1). Furthermore, it requires verification of the annual 3% renovation of the floor area of buildings with climate control systems, in accordance with Directive 2012/27/EU (Art. 1).
