Forest material producers: update to authorised accession units in the Basque Country

The Directorate-General for Biodiversity, Forests and Desertification has updated the National Catalogue of base materials for the production of forest reproductive material in the Basque Country (Art. 7.2 RD 289/2003). This resolution entirely replaces the previously authorised accession lists for this Autonomous Community. Any base materials not included in the new attached lists must be considered withdrawn.

In 2 key points

  1. Complete replacement of authorised accession units in the Basque Country (resolución)
  2. Base materials not included in the new lists must be considered withdrawn (resolución)

How it affects those involved

For producers of forest reproductive material operating in the Basque Country, this regulation requires a revalidation of their material sources. Those using base materials not included in the new update will lose their legal validity for production. Producers must verify that their accession units match the new lists to avoid losing their authorised material status.
