The Independent Whistleblower Protection Authority establishes its Permanent Procurement Board

The Presidency of the Independent Whistleblower Protection Authority (A.A.I.) has issued a resolution to establish its Permanent Procurement Board. This measure is adopted in accordance with Art. 12.1.h) of the Statute approved by Royal Decree 1101/2024 and Law 9/2017. The creation of this body addresses the need to manage the entity's procurement processes within the framework of administrative law.

In 2 key points

  1. Establishment of the A.A.I. Permanent Procurement Board (Resolución de 29 de abril de 2026)
  2. The resolution's effects shall come into force on 21 May 2026 (Efectos desde el 21 de mayo de 2026)

How it affects those involved

The resolution does not result in direct changes to the activities of companies or individuals, but rather organises the internal structure of the A.A.I. for its tendering and public procurement processes. The primary effect is the enablement of a specialised body for managing the Authority's contracts, ensuring compliance with Law 9/2017 and Law 39/2015.
