Mediterranean bottom trawlers: allocation of maximum subsidisable days for 2026

The General Secretariat for Fisheries has published the list of maximum subsidisable days for fishing effort reduction for the year 2026. This allocation is made for Mediterranean bottom trawlers in compliance with the management plan for the conservation of demersal resources (Order APA/423/2020). The measure allows for compensation for the temporary cessation of fishing activities under the framework of the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (Art. 21 of Regulation (EU) 2021/1139).
