Cádiz Free Zone Consortium: modification of the composition of the Permanent Contracting Board

The Special State Delegation within the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium has agreed on a new proposed composition for its Permanent Contracting Board via a resolution dated 5 May 2026. This modification establishes new profiles for the presidency, members, and secretariat, including the appointment of substitutes by the Special State Delegate in accordance with Law 40/2015 (Art. 13).

In 2 key points

  1. The presidency shall be held by the Director of the Technical Area or an executive appointed by the Special State Delegate (Resolución de 5 de mayo de 2026)
  2. The appointment of an Area Executive or Department Head is established depending on the type of procurement and subject matter (Resolución de 5 de mayo de 2026)

How it affects those involved

For companies bidding for contracts with the Cádiz Free Zone Consortium, this regulation does not alter procurement procedures, but rather the internal structure of those managing the Contracting Board. The new composition ensures the presence of technical, financial, and legal profiles, as well as the ability to appoint executives based on the subject matter of the tender.
